Simone Tapia – Chef /Owner
Simone started his career in the restaurant business over a quarter of century ago. In 1983, he had the opportunity to be hired as a cook by Mauro Vincenti, owner of Rex, an acclaimed Italian restaurant in Los Angeles. Simone soon realized while working at Rex that cooking was not only a career, but a passion that he needed to pursue.
Abramo Lopezi – Chef/Owner
With the passion of cooking in his blood, at the end of the 80s, Abramo, then a mere teenager, joined the kitchen of Le Café (Van Nuys) as salad preparer. Fascinated by the atmosphere of the cuisine, Abramo decided to invest all his free time watching the chef masterfully prepare Italian and French homemade pasta, sauces and desserts.
Gino Merchan – General Manager
Gino is all about quality service in the dining room. “I remember by hearth all the names of my customers,” says Gino. Gino prides himself in making every customer feel at home as soon as they get inside the restaurant. French/Italian heritage, with a true passion for wine and fine dining, Gino started over 20 years ago as waiter in small Los Angeles restaurants.
